Individuals
Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
- C.G. Jung
A Focus on Feelings
I work with a diverse population of individuals who come from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.
I often work with people navigating anxiety, depression, and relationship problems and find that many who come into my practice are high-functioning, creative individuals who struggle with perfectionism, enough-ness, and other self-limiting beliefs.
A Multicultural Lens
I specialize in working with people from multicultural backgrounds, helping validate what can often feel like an invisible experience and unpacking the impact immigration, acculturation, or the pressure to belong (to new communities or to one’s own family) has on people’s lives. Having grown up in a bicultural home and having lived in several countries throughout my childhood, I have an acute understanding of the sensitivities that can accompany experiences similar to my own.
A Deep Respect for Sensitivity
I enjoy working with people who identify as sensitive who may have learned to cope with their sensitivity by blaming themselves rather than embracing their gift. Inspired by the work of Elaine Aron, I believe that sensitivity is a gateway to aliveness and learning how to harness this trait can be life-changing.
A Believer In the Unconscious
As Carl Jung implies at the top of this page, the unconscious mind carries with it the power to determine our lives unless we grow interested in the path of conscious awareness. In my work, I strive to listen both to what people are saying and also what they may be signaling unconsciously with the hopes of working together to uncover important psychological patterns and roots. When we are made aware of unconscious material, we begin to live our lives with true wisdom and with the empowerment to make of ourselves what we dream.
